Alka N. Sood
22 years teaching English literature in Kanpur
- 🇮🇳 Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India
- Kanpur Academy
- Since 1990
- English, Hindi
I came to teaching late, after working as a postal worker, and 36 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I learn every name in the first week.
More about Alka
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Alka: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
