I taught home economics at Redwood Grammar School in Durham from 1993 to 2022. Most days I taught Grade 4, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Outside the classroom I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Alice
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Alice: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
