I taught history at Leicester Middle School in Leicester from 1992 to 2008. Most days I taught Grade 8, and I never turned anyone away.
Over the years I had 910 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
What gifts mean to Alice: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
