I taught physics at Heliopolis Public School in Heliopolis from 1981 to 2019. Most days I taught Year 7, and I never once raised my voice.
I coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Ali
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Ali: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
