I teach religious studies at Istanbul Public School in Istanbul since 2001. Most days I teach the youngest children, and I never raise my voice.
I've coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Ali
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
