Alexander Pavel Grigoriev
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇦 Kharkiv, Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine
- The Kharkiv Trades Guild
- 1989 to 1997
- English
I've worked in thatching from 1989 to 1997. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 230 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I always make time for a proper cup of tea.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Alexander: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
