Alexander J. Taylor
Master of auto repair, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇸 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
- The Philadelphia Workshop
- Since 1983
- English
I've worked in auto repair since 1983. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 2,280 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I sing in a choir.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Alexander: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
