Alexa L. Castro

For 33 years I looked after the shelves, the card catalog and the regulars at San Francisco Reading Room. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it. A library should feel like a living room. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Alexa: I'd put a gift toward a reading corner at the nearby school.
