I spent 19 years as a lecturer in sociology at Rosewood University in Newcastle. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
More about Alexa
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Alexa: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
