For 36 years I have been the French teacher at Tlaquepaque Girls' School. I teach the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 1,940 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Alejandro
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Alejandro: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
