Alejandra Maldonado
Master of welding, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇸 Syracuse, New York, United States
- Syracuse Trades Guild
- Since 2007
- English, Spanish
I've worked in welding since 2007. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 860 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
More about Alejandra
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Alejandra: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
