I've coached boxing at Hillcrest Boxing Gym since 2002. Most of my players were between 10 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
What gifts mean to Alejandra: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
