I taught English literature at Ashford Boys' School in San Cristóbal de las Casas from 1996 to 2010. Most days I taught Grade 6, and I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
I ran the running club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Alberto
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
