Alamin Ratul Rashid
Master of masonry, now teaching apprentices
- 🇧🇩 Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- The Savar Repairs
- Since 1984
- English, Bengali
I've worked in masonry since 1984. I learned from my uncle and passed what I could on to 2,100 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I'm learning the guitar.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Alamin
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Alamin: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
