Alamin Parvez
Master of weaving, now teaching apprentices
- 🇧🇩 Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Old Holy Cross Works
- 1999 to 2009
- English, Bengali
I'm a weaving specialist. If you live around Dhaka, there's a good chance I've worked in a building near you.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I try to remember everyone's name.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Alamin
If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Alamin: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
