Akua Bonsu
Nursing mentor, Tema
- 🇬🇭 Tema, Greater Accra, Ghana
- Tema Community Trust
- Since 1982
- English, Twi
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 1,760 people through Tema Community Trust.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Akua
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
What gifts mean to Akua: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
