Akoth Nancy Waweru
Art and geography teacher, Kampala
- 🇺🇬 Kampala, Central Region, Uganda
- Kampala Academy
- Since 1988
- English
For 38 years I have been the art teacher at Kampala Academy. I teach the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's quiz team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Akoth
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Akoth: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
