I've volunteered with Ashford Community Kitchen since 1979. I started on a Saturday morning "just to help out" and never left.
I'm not an expert in anything, I just show up. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
What gifts mean to Akoth: A gift would go toward supplies for our weekly sessions.
