I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and twelve years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've run the running club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
