Akinyi Njoroge
Teacher at Nairobi Technical College, loves biology
- 🇰🇪 Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya
- Nairobi Technical College
- 2002 to 2025
- English, Swahili, French
I came to teaching late, after working as a bank clerk, and 23 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I'm always reading two books at once. Inside it, my door was open at lunch.
More about Akinyi
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Akinyi: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me biology in 2008 at Nairobi Technical College. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard!
