Tiling, done properly
- 🇺🇬 Kampala, Central Region, Uganda
- Old Kampala Shop
- Since 1995
- English, Swahili
I've worked in tiling since 1995. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 1,330 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I always make time for a proper cup of tea.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Akinyi: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
