Akinyi Akoth Odhiambo
Coached boxing for 22 years in Mombasa
- 🇰🇪 Mombasa, Mombasa, Kenya
- Mombasa Athletic Club
- 1996 to 2018
- English, Swahili
I coached boxing at Mombasa Athletic Club from 1996 to 2018. Most of my players were between 12 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Akinyi
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Akinyi: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
