Akinyi Aisha Kimani
Retired astronomy lecturer
- 🇰🇪 Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya
- 1995 to 2019
- English, Swahili
My subject is astronomy, and for 24 years I got to share it with undergraduates at Kasarani Polytechnic.
I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it. It sounds small, but students remember small things.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Akinyi
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
What gifts mean to Akinyi: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
