Akello Wangari Rashidi

Volleyball coach, Arusha Athletic Club

I've coached volleyball at Arusha Athletic Club since 1999. Most of my players were between 11 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday. I'm still learning every day.

What gifts mean to Akello: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
