Akello Wambui Kioko
Welding for 26 years in Mwanza
- 🇹🇿 Mwanza, Mwanza, Tanzania
- The Trinity Workshop
- 1996 to 2022
- English, Swahili
My trade is welding. I opened my own shop in 1996 in Mwanza and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.
More about Akello
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Akello: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
