For 38 years I have been the chemistry teacher at Mwanza High School. I teach Grade 4 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 2,050 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Akello
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the coast, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Akello: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
