For 24 years I have been the English literature teacher at Nairobi Boys' School. I teach the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.
More about Akello
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
