For 31 years I was the drama teacher at Eldoret Girls' School. I taught Year 7 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I walk the dog by the river. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
More about Akello
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Akello: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
