Akash T. Verma
Master of upholstery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇳 Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India
- Rosewood Trades Guild
- 1979 to 1995
- English
I've worked in upholstery from 1979 to 1995. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 460 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.
More about Akash
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Akash: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
