Akash A. Maurya
Painter, potter and teacher at Old Nagpur Art Collective
- 🇮🇳 Nagpur, Maharashtra, India
- Old Nagpur Art Collective
- 1984 to 2008
- English, Hindi
I work mostly in oil painting, sometimes printmaking. My first show was in 1984 at Old Nagpur Art Collective, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by faces I pass in the street. I make terrible puns.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Akash
I've had 11 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.

What gifts mean to Akash: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
