Akari Asuka Shimizu
Flute player and teacher in Setagaya
- 🇯🇵 Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan
- Setagaya Band
- Since 2000
- English, Japanese, Spanish
I've played flute since 2000, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I teach about 6 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I run most mornings.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Akari
I write my first song when I was 18. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Akari: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
