Akari Akari Yokoyama

Retired Spanish teacher from Kilimanjaro Middle School

  • 🇯🇵 Kawasaki, Kanagawa, Japan
  • Kilimanjaro Middle School
  • 2017 to 2025
  • English, Japanese
Kilimanjaro Middle School was my second home. I taught Spanish there from 2017 to 2025, mostly Grade 11. My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits. I'm still learning every day.

More about Akari

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Akari: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
