Aisha Margaret Shayo
Self-taught oil painting artist
- 🇰🇪 Kisumu, Kisumu, Kenya
- The Kisumu Gallery
- Since 1996
- English, Swahili
I work mostly in oil painting, sometimes sculpture. My first show was in 1996 at The Kisumu Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I also teach a weekly class at The Kisumu Gallery, which keeps me honest.
I'm still learning every day.

If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
