Aisha Joy Gbadamosi
Self-taught woodcarving artist
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- The Lagos Print Workshop
- Since 1991
- English, Hausa
I work mostly in woodcarving, sometimes calligraphy. My first show was in 1991 at The Lagos Print Workshop, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by faces I pass in the street. I'm always reading two books at once.
More about Aisha
I've had 9 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
