I spent 15 years as a lecturer in political science at Kilimanjaro College in Istanbul. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I run most mornings.
More about Ahmet
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Ahmet: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
