I've been a nurse for 13 years, most of them in palliative care at Orchid Health Center in Newcastle upon Tyne. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
