I've coached cricket at Sacramento St. Mary's Swimming Club since 2012. Most of my players were between 11 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
I'm still learning every day.
What gifts mean to Adeline: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
