I taught art at Oakwood Public School in San Jose from 1988 to 2009. Most days I taught Grade 11, and I never turned anyone away.
I ran the choir after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
