I came to teaching late, after working as a bank clerk, and 23 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
