Helping people break into nursing
- 🇺🇬 Mukono, Central Region, Uganda
- Mukono Learning Hub
- 1997 to 2019
- English, Swahili
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 880 people through Mukono Learning Hub.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Achieng
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Achieng: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
