I'm a mentor in writing. I spent my career as a waiter and now give some of that back.
I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I fix old bicycles.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Achieng
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Achieng: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
