Achieng Adhiambo Wekesa
Athletics coach, Embakasi Sports Club
- 🇰🇪 Embakasi, Nairobi, Kenya
- Embakasi Sports Club
- 2002 to 2012
- English
I coached athletics at Embakasi Sports Club from 2002 to 2012. Most of my players were between 10 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Achieng
If you played for me, you probably remember the time the class pet escaped.
What gifts mean to Achieng: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
