Abubakar Usman Igwe
Youth basketball coach and mentor
- 🇳🇬 Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria
- Harbor Swimming Club
- 1998 to 2015
- English, Igbo
For 17 years I ran the basketball program at Harbor Swimming Club in Ikeja. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I played music while people worked.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
