Abubakar Jide Mba
Table tennis coach, Kano Youth Club
- 🇳🇬 Kano, Kano, Nigeria
- Kano Youth Club
- 1986 to 2014
- English
For 28 years I ran the table tennis program at Kano Youth Club in Kano. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never turned anyone away.
More about Abubakar
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Abubakar: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
