Helping people break into entrepreneurship
- 🇳🇬 Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria
- Ikeja Mentoring Circle
- Since 1990
- English, Yoruba, French
For 36 years I've mentored people in entrepreneurship and writing. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Abubakar
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Abubakar: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
