I taught mathematics and geography at Our Lady of Peace Secondary School, Madrid. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk. I coached the school's football team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Abril: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
