Abril A. Medina
Mentor in engineering and first-generation students
- 🇲🇽 San Nicolás de los Garza, Nuevo León, Mexico
- Eastgate Foundation
- 1978 to 1989
- Spanish
For eleven years I've mentored people in engineering and first-generation students. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening.
I learned every name in the first week.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Abril
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.

What gifts mean to Abril: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
