I've coached boxing at Accra Football Club since 1990. Most of my players were between 8 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I garden badly but happily.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Abena
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Abena: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
