Aarati Maharjan
Master of carpentry, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇵 Kathmandu, Bagmati, Nepal
- Old Windsor Works
- 1990 to 2024
- English, Nepali
My trade is carpentry. I opened my own shop in 1990 in Kathmandu and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
More about Aarati
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
