Aaliyah Ward
French and home economics teacher, Toledo
- 🇺🇸 Toledo, Ohio, United States
- 2018 to 2025
- English
For eight years I was the French teacher at Beacon Public School. I taught mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Aaliyah: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
